Infrared Light Detection Vein Finder Machine
Principle
The working principle of a vein detector is to use infrared light to detect veins beneath the skin, and then project the position of the veins onto the surface of the skin directly above the veins. Qualified medical personnel can observe the displayed vascular system to help them find veins of appropriate size and location for venipuncture and other medical procedures that require locating superficial veins. No training is required to operate this device.
This device only displays shallow vascular syst. The maximum depth of the displayed vein varies depending on the patient. In addition, some patients may not be able to display their veins or partial veins well or at all. The reasons for unsatisfactory or absent venous display include but are not limited to venous depth, skin conditions (such as eczema, tattoos), hair, scars or other highly contoured skin surfaces, and adipose tissue. When placed directly above the head, the device can accurately locate the center of the vein. Increasing displacement from above will cause the displayed venous position to shift. The displayed venous width may differ from the actual width, depending on the differences between patients and the venous width. When using the device correctly, the centerline of the vein is accurate and should always be used as a target during venipuncture or other medical procedures. A venous probe is a portable machine.
